Entonces Jilquías le dijo al secretario Safán: «¡Mira! Encontré el libro de la ley en el templo». Y Jilquías le entregó el libro a Safán, quien se lo llevó al rey, cuando fue a entregar el informe de lo que se había hecho en la reconstrucción del templo. Le dijo:
