Poco después Elías dijo a Eliseo: ―Quédate en Betel, porque el Señor me ha enviado a Jericó. Pero Eliseo le replicó: ―Juro por el Señor y por tu vida que no te dejaré. Y se fueron juntos a Jericó.

Elijah said to him, “Elisha, please wait here, for Yahweh has sent me to Jericho.” He said, “As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they came to Jericho.
