Esta ley se establece porque estas naciones no te ayudaron con alimento y agua cuando saliste de Egipto. Al contrario, trataron de maldecirte, para lo cual contrataron a Balán el hijo de Beor, de Petor en Mesopotamia.

because they didn’t meet you with bread and with water on the way, when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.
