«Cuando cruces el Jordán y llegues a la tierra que el Señor tu Dios te da, tierra de la que fluye leche y miel, sacarás piedras del fondo del río e inmediatamente harás con ellas un monumento en la otra orilla, junto al monte Ebal. Blanquearás las piedras con cal y luego escribirás en ellas las leyes del Señor.

You shall write on them all the words of this law, when you have passed over; that you may go in to the land which Yahweh your God gives you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
