El capitán llamó aparte a Jeremías y le dijo: ―El Señor tu Dios ha traído este desastre sobre esta tierra tal como dijo que lo haría, porque este pueblo ha ofendido mucho al Señor cometiendo tantas maldades, por eso ocurrió todo este mal.

and Yahweh has brought it, and done according as he spoke. Because you have sinned against Yahweh, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing has come on you.
