“Then Nathan said to David, “You are that man! This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.”
David has committed adultery with Bathsheba and arranged the death of her husband Uriah to cover it up. God sends the prophet Nathan, who tells David a story about a rich man who stole a poor man's only lamb.
