“From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing.”
These are among the last words Paul wrote, from a Roman prison, expecting execution soon. He has just said he is being poured out like an offering and that he has finished his race and kept the faith.
