““Go throughout the city of Jerusalem,” said the LORD, “and put a mark on the foreheads of the men sighing and groaning over all the abominations committed there.””
Ezekiel 9 is part of a vision in which the prophet sees judgment coming on Jerusalem because of idolatry and violence in the city and even in the temple. Six executioners appear along with a man dressed in linen who carries a writing kit.
