“She grabbed Joseph by his cloak and said, “Sleep with me!” But leaving his cloak in her hand, he escaped and ran outside.”
Joseph has been sold into slavery and now serves in the house of Potiphar, an Egyptian official. Potiphar's wife repeatedly pressures him to sleep with her, and Joseph has already refused, citing his master's trust and his duty to God.
