““Do not be afraid or discouraged,” Joshua said. “Be strong and courageous, for the LORD will do this to all the enemies you fight.””
Five Amorite kings attacked Gibeon, which had allied with Israel, and Joshua came to its defense, marching all night. God sent hail and even lengthened the day, and the five kings were caught hiding in a cave at Makkedah.
