“When Jesus heard this, He marveled at the centurion. Turning to the crowd following Him, He said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.””
Jesus is welcomed in Capernaum by Jewish elders who speak well of a centurion who loved their people and built their synagogue. The centurion sends friends to say he is unworthy to have Jesus come and that a word will be enough.
