“But Jesus would not allow him. “Go home to your own people,” He said, “and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy He has shown you.””
Jesus has just freed a man from a legion of demons in the region of the Gerasenes. The man begs to go with Jesus, but Jesus sends him home instead, a rare instance of Jesus declining to let someone follow him.
