Berean Standard Bible

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does.”

Psalms 1:3

Study note

In a dry land like Israel, where rain was seasonal and many trees struggled to survive, a tree growing beside a steady water channel was a vivid picture of life and security. Psalm 1 uses this image right after describing the person who delights in God's instruction.
