Psalms 29:9

Study note

Psalm 29 is a hymn built around the phrase the voice of the LORD, repeated seven times as it sweeps like a storm from the Mediterranean across Lebanon and into the wilderness. It borrows the imagery of storm gods from neighboring cultures and gives all the power to Israel's God alone.
