Study note

Chapter 12 presents a symbolic vision of a woman, her child and a great dragon, which the text identifies as the devil and Satan. After a war in heaven the dragon is thrown down, and a loud voice in heaven celebrates, calling him the accuser who accused believers before God day and night (12:10).
