The Holy Bible
Every birthday is proof of a life God knit together on purpose, with days already written before the first one began. These Bible verses for a birthday bless a new year of life with meaning and hope.
“For You formed my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all my days were written in Your book and ordained for me before one of them came to be.”
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.”
“So teach us to number our days, that we may present a heart of wisdom.”
“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. In old age they will still bear fruit; healthy and green they will remain,”
“To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven:”
“‘May the LORD bless you and keep you; may the LORD cause His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the LORD lift up His countenance toward you and give you peace.’”
“Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, until I proclaim Your power to the next generation, Your might to all who are to come.”
“being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
