Study note

Zechariah's fourth vision shows Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord in filthy clothes while Satan stands at his right side to accuse him. Joshua represents a small, struggling community that had just come home from exile, tainted by sin and seemingly unworthy to serve.
