»Dios hizo con Abraham el pacto que tenía como señal la circuncisión. Y así, Isaac, el hijo de Abraham, fue circuncidado a los ocho días de nacido. Lo mismo hizo Isaac con Jacob y Jacob con los doce patriarcas.

He gave him the covenant of circumcision. So Abraham became the father of Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day. Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs.
