Pero poco después Johanán, hijo de Carea, y los demás jefes guerrilleros fueron a Mizpa para advertirle a Guedalías que Balís, el rey de los amonitas, había enviado a Ismael, hijo de Netanías, para asesinarlo. Pero Guedalías no quiso creerles.

and said to him, “Do you know that Baalis the king of the children of Ammon has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life?” But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam didn’t believe them.
