Study note

John 7 opens some time after the feeding of the five thousand and the hard Bread of Life teaching that caused many followers to walk away. The verse notes that Jesus kept his ministry in Galilee and deliberately avoided Judea, because the religious leaders there were already looking for a way to kill him.
