Micah 7
Berean Standard Bible20 verses · 3 min read
Micah laments that the godly have vanished from the land: everyone lies in wait, officials demand gifts, judges accept bribes, and even neighbors, friends and family cannot be trusted. Yet as for me, he says, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior. When I fall I will rise, and though I sit in darkness the Lord will be my light. He accepts God's discipline because he has sinned, trusting that the Lord will plead his case. The book ends with praise and confidence: who is a God like you, who pardons sin, does not stay angry forever but delights in mercy, and will cast our sins into the depths of the sea.
