Not Tired of Doing Good
“Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith.”
Paul knows that doing good can be exhausting, especially when nobody notices and nothing seems to change. So he offers encouragement: let us not grow weary, for in due season we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. The word due matters. Farmers do not dig up seeds each week to check whether they are growing. They water, wait, and trust the season. Then he gives a practical direction in Galatians 6:10: as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, especially to the family of faith. Not someday, when we have more time, but as opportunities arise. Small kindnesses, repeated, are how a harvest is made. Today, pick one good thing you have been putting off, such as visiting a lonely neighbor, helping someone at church, or supporting a cause, and do it before the sun goes down.

Prayer
Father, keep me from growing weary in doing good. Give me patience for the harvest and eyes for today's opportunity.
