Hosea 2:1

Study note

In chapter 1 Hosea's children received names that announced judgment, including Lo-Ammi, meaning not my people, and Lo-Ruhamah, meaning not pitied. This verse, which closes that thought, tells the hearers to address their brothers and sisters with the reversed names: Ammi, my people, and Ruhamah, shown mercy.
