Matthew 7
Berean Standard Bible29 verses · 3 min read
Jesus finishes the Sermon on the Mount with practical instruction. He warns against harsh judgment and urges people to examine themselves before correcting others. He invites his listeners to ask, seek and knock, assuring them that the Father gives good gifts. The well-known golden rule sums up the Law and the Prophets: treat others as you would want to be treated. He contrasts the narrow and wide gates, good and bad fruit, and those who only say his name with those who do the Father's will. He ends with the builders on rock and sand, showing that hearing without doing leaves a life unstable, and the crowds are amazed at his authority.
