En la segunda parte de su oración, Jesús ora por sus discípulos, que quedarán en un mundo que lo odió a él y que también los odiará a ellos. Acaba de decir que les ha dado la palabra del Padre y que no pertenecen al mundo, así como él tampoco le pertenece.
