A Thousand Years Closer: The Isaiah Scroll a Shepherd Found

Before 1947, the oldest complete Hebrew copy of Isaiah was about a thousand years younger than Jesus. Then a shepherd threw a stone into a cave by the Dead Sea, and a 24-foot scroll let scholars test how faithfully the prophet's words had been copied.
