2 Chronicles 14
Berean Standard Bible15 verses · 2 min read
Asa becomes king of Judah and does what is good in the Lord's eyes: he removes foreign altars and high places and calls Judah to seek God. The land enjoys years of rest, and Asa builds fortified cities. When Zerah of Ethiopia attacks with an enormous army, Asa prays, admitting that only God can help the powerless against the mighty. God routs the enemy, and Judah collects great plunder. The chapter presents reform and peace as connected, and shows prayer as an honest cry of dependence.
