Lamentations 3:1

Study note

Lamentations 3 is the central poem of the book and its most intricate, a triple acrostic in which every letter of the Hebrew alphabet begins three consecutive lines. Unlike chapters 1 and 2, which personify the city, this poem speaks through a single suffering man.
