Proverbs 26
Berean Standard Bible28 verses · 2 min read
This chapter sketches with humor and bite the fool, the sluggard, and the gossip. Honor does not suit a fool, like snow in summer; the reader is told both not to answer a fool according to his folly and, in another sense, to answer him so he does not think himself wise. The lazy person turns in bed like a door on its hinges. Without wood a fire goes out, and without a gossip quarrels cease. It ends warning that whoever digs a pit for another will fall into it.
