Proverbs 31
Berean Standard Bible31 verses · 2 min read
The words of King Lemuel, taught to him by his mother, warn against squandering strength on pleasures and urge speaking up for those who cannot speak and defending the poor. The book ends with an acrostic poem on the woman of strength, who manages her household with industry, generosity, and wisdom, and is praised at the city gates. Many read it as a portrait of wisdom itself or an ideal for everyone, not only women, and the poem culminates in the fear of the Lord.
