Isaiah 24
Berean Standard Bible23 verses · 2 min read
Isaiah widens his view from the nations to the whole earth. God will lay waste the earth and scatter its inhabitants, and rich and poor, priest and people, will all suffer. The land mourns because its people have broken the everlasting covenant and defiled it. Joy is gone: wine, music, and cities lie in ruins. Yet from the ends of the earth come songs of glory to the Righteous One. The chapter ends with the Lord punishing the powers in heaven and kings on earth, and then reigning on Mount Zion in the presence of his elders. This section begins what is called Isaiah's little apocalypse, chapters 24 to 27.
