Isaiah 16
Berean Standard Bible14 verses · 2 min read
Moab's people send lambs as tribute to Jerusalem and plead for refuge as they flee like scattered birds. They ask Judah to hide the outcasts and shelter the refugees. A throne will be established in love, and a ruler of David's line will sit on it faithfully, seeking justice and swift to do what is right. Even so, Moab's pride, arrogance, and insolence are noted, and it will not succeed in worship at its high places. Isaiah weeps for the vineyards of Heshbon and Sibmah, now ruined. Within three years, Moab's glory will be brought low and only a few survivors will remain.
