Job 15
Berean Standard Bible35 verses · 3 min read
In the second round of speeches, Eliphaz is harsher. He accuses Job of empty knowledge, of undermining piety, and of letting his own mouth condemn him. He appeals to the wisdom of the elders and says that the wicked suffer torment all their days, feel constant fear, and bring disaster on themselves. He implies Job fits that profile. His speech shows that when friends stop listening and start defending their theory, they turn suffering people into cases to be argued rather than people to be cared for.
