Job 27
Berean Standard Bible23 verses · 2 min read
Job vows that as long as he has breath, he will not speak falsely or abandon his integrity. He refuses to say that his friends are right, since that would mean lying, and he holds firmly to his righteousness. He then describes the fate of the wicked in language similar to the friends', saying that in the end they lose everything. Some interpreters think this section belongs to the friends; others think Job agrees that the wicked are judged, while still insisting that he is not one. The chapter is a declaration of integrity and a reminder that God is in the end just.
