Job 34
Berean Standard Bible37 verses · 3 min read
Elihu addresses the wise, arguing that Job has said that he is innocent and that God has denied him justice, and that Job has added rebellion to his sin. He insists that God does not pervert justice, since he gives to each what their deeds deserve, sees every step, and needs no investigation to bring down the mighty. Elihu appeals to God's power over life and death and his impartiality toward kings and the poor. He accuses Job of speaking without knowledge. The chapter defends God's justice, though critics say Elihu still assumes too much about Job's guilt.
