Job 30
Berean Standard Bible31 verses · 2 min read
Now Job's situation has reversed: young men whose fathers he would not have trusted with his sheepdogs mock him, and he has become a byword. His dignity has vanished like a cloud, his bones burn with fever, and he cries out to God who does not answer. God seems to have become cruel to him. Yet Job says he wept for those in trouble and grieved for the poor. Now, when he hoped for good, evil came. The chapter describes the shame and isolation of sudden decline and the sense of being abandoned by God.
