Job 33
Berean Standard Bible33 verses · 3 min read
Elihu addresses Job directly, inviting him to answer if he can. He reminds Job that he too is formed from clay and is not to be feared. He quotes Job as claiming to be pure, and responds that God is greater than any human. God speaks in various ways, even in dreams and through pain, to turn people from a pit. If an angel or a messenger reminds a person of what is right, God may show grace and restore. Elihu presents suffering as possible discipline and warning, not only punishment, offering a somewhat different view than the friends.
