Job 28
Berean Standard Bible28 verses · 2 min read
This poem reflects on where wisdom can be found. People mine silver, gold, and iron from deep in the earth and search out hidden places no bird has seen, but wisdom cannot be bought with gold or found in the depths. Only God understands the way to it, since he saw and searched it out when he made the wind, the rain, and thunder. To humans, he says, the fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to turn from evil is understanding. The chapter is a quiet pause in the debate, showing that true wisdom starts with reverence for God.
