Psalms 146
Berean Standard Bible10 verses · 1 min read
The first of five closing psalms of praise, each beginning and ending with Hallelujah. The writer vows to praise the Lord as long as he lives and warns against putting trust in princes or in mortals who cannot save, since their breath departs and their plans perish. Blessed is the one whose help is the God of Jacob, maker of heaven, earth, and sea, who keeps faith forever. He executes justice for the oppressed, gives food to the hungry, frees prisoners, opens the eyes of the blind, lifts those bowed down, loves the righteous, protects foreigners, and upholds the fatherless and widow, and the Lord reigns forever.
