Psalms 50
Berean Standard Bible23 verses · 2 min read
God himself speaks as judge, summoning heaven and earth. He addresses his covenant people, saying he does not need their animal sacrifices, since every creature already belongs to him. What he wants is thanksgiving, promises kept and prayer in the day of trouble. Then he confronts the wicked who recite his laws but hate his correction, who steal, commit adultery and slander, and who assumed his silence meant approval. He calls them to remember him, warns that judgment will come, and promises salvation to those who offer thanks.
