Psalms 142
Berean Standard Bible7 verses · 1 min read
A prayer of David when he was in a cave, probably hiding from Saul. He cries aloud to the Lord and pours out his complaint before him, saying that when his spirit grows faint, God knows his way. Along the path he walks, people have hidden a snare. He looks around and sees that no one cares for him and that he has no refuge, so he cries to the Lord, calling him his refuge and his portion in the land of the living. He asks to be freed from prison so that he can give thanks, and expects the righteous to gather around him because God has dealt bountifully with him.
