Psalms 7
Berean Standard Bible17 verses · 1 min read
Falsely accused by a man named Cush, David takes refuge in God and asks to be judged according to his integrity. He appeals to God as the righteous judge who examines hearts, and he pictures the wicked digging a pit and falling into it themselves. God is patient but not indifferent; he prepares his judgment. David closes with thanks and praise to the Lord Most High for his righteousness. The psalm shows how to bring an unjust accusation to God, trusting him with justice rather than taking revenge.
