Psalms 55
Berean Standard Bible23 verses · 2 min read
David pours out anguish over betrayal. He is restless and terrified and wishes for wings like a dove to fly away and find rest. Violence and strife fill the city. The deepest wound is not from an enemy but from a close companion, with whom he once walked to the house of God. He prays that God confuse such people, yet he trusts the Lord to hear him morning, noon and night. He urges everyone to cast their burden on the Lord, who will sustain the righteous.
